1969. The year when a visionary stalwart, Shri T. Suryanarayana from Vijayawada emerged as a successful manufacturer of world class knitted garments. Time when by and large people were diffident to enter business, Shri Suryanarayana pursued and built up this knitwear industry with high- end machinery and available expertise to make Vilan, a multimillion, multi-product, multi-metro industry.
He always insisted on consistent international product quality, and standard of inner wears and knitted apparels that Vilan is perennially committed to. Over the years, Vilan Apparels steadily gained immense trust and patronage from the sea of customers from all over the region. By the 1970s, his eldest son, Shri Chandrashekar Rao took immense interest in his father’s business. So after his commerce graduation, he moved to Tirupur in Tamilnadu, an internationally acclaimed hub for knitted garments in Asia to further learn about textile technology. It was Shri Chandrashekar Rao who widened the product range by introducing sportswear for the aspiring sports world. With a vision-mission to emerge as the most reputed global apparel brand and to grow profitably with best work ethics and customer experience, Vilan opened 11 exclusive showrooms in different parts of Andhra Pradesh catering to the ever growing demand and increasing business potential.
